At Community Transformation Alliance (CTA), our projects turn ideas into action. From literacy and child protection to women’s empowerment and environmental sustainability, each initiative is designed to create lasting impact and transform lives across Tanzania.

Child Safeguarding Initiatives

The Safeguarding Initiatives Project engaged 1,600 students and 2,500 community members in Nanyumbu to reduce violence in schools, strengthen child protection, and promote safe learning environments.

Mimi na Mazingira yangu-Komesha ukatili wa kijinsia

The Mimi na Mazingira Yangu – Komesha Ukatili wa Kijinsia Project empowers women and youth in Nanyumbu through literacy, green skills, and gender equality training. Supported by the Ireland Embassy, it transforms waste into clean energy, reduces deforestation, revives literacy centres, and promotes women’s confidence, income generation, and community-led environmental action.

The End Violence Project – Promoting Child Safety and Inclusion in Nanyumbu

The End Violence Project in Nanyumbu District, supported by TEN/MET, promotes child safety in schools and communities. It trains teachers, leaders, and students on child protection, establishes End Violence Clubs, and reduces corporal punishment. The project fosters safer, inclusive learning environments, empowering over 10,500 community members and 1,700 students.

Youth And Women Literacy Program

In 2024, CTA’s Youth and Women Literacy Program equipped 90 learners in Nanyumbu with literacy, numeracy, and life skills, empowering youth and young mothers to improve their livelihoods and embrace education.

Mental Health Campaigns

CTA’s Mental Health Campaigns equipped students with visual impairments at the University of Dar es Salaam with knowledge and tools to manage stress, build confidence, and address personal and academic challenges.

USAID Kijana Kwanza Project

CTA, as one of five Youth Lead Organizations in Nanyumbu, collaborated on the USAID Kijana Kwanza Project (2024–2026) to strengthen youth leadership and promote gender-inclusive local development.
